for Prospective Students Applying for 9th Grade
 

Open House, Thursday, October 18, 2007
5-7 p.m.

Applicant Packets picked up by prospective applicants.

Friday, November 16, 2007
Application form due to SJA with
- Parent letter
- $40 non-refundable testing fee
- Current photo
Saturday, December 1, 2007
Placement test at SJA at 8 a.m.
- Students report to Activity Center by 7:45 a.m.
- Test completed by 11:30 a.m.
Friday, December 7, 2007 Letters mailed with appointment for applicant/parent interview.
January 2008 SJA receives admissions test results, which will be mailed with response in March.
Monday, January 7, 2008 Letters sent to elementary schools requesting records on applicants.
Tuesday - Thursday, January 8-10, 2008

Applicant/parent interviews

SJA principal visits elementary schools regarding applicants.
SJA committee reviews application information.

Information Extravaganza: informational meeting in the Activity Center for 2008-09 freshmen and their parents regarding scheduling. Deadline for returning registration forms, fees and course requests.
Saturday, March 15, 2008
CHS Band auditions. Time TBA.
Tuesday, March 18, 2008
Proficiency testing for 2008-09 freshmen requesting Geometry or Geometry Honors and/or Spanish II or French II. Time TBA.
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Advanced placement for 2008-09 freshmen requesting Ballet II. Time TBA.
Monday, May 19, 2008 Letters sent to elementary school requesting final records on incoming 9th graders.

June 2008

Computer orientation course required during the summer.
