Annual Giving Program
SJA relies on three components of the Annual Giving Program – Alumnae Annual Giving, Parents Annual Giving and Friends Annual Giving. Each provides critical monetary support to bridge the difference between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student.

Annual giving helps SJA:

Recruit and retain outstanding, experienced faculty

  • employ a college advisor to offer guidance to our students during their college- and career-planning process
  • employ a full-time information technology director to support the integration of technology across the SJA curriculum

Continue to excel in the area of Academic Excellence - SJA has been a continuously accredited member of SACS since 1931

  • provide smaller class sizes where personal interaction with teachers and small-group work is encouraged
  • complement the core curriculum by offering electives in the visual and performing arts
  • enhance spiritual formation opportunities for students with a vibrant service program; full-time campus minister and sister chaplain; emphasis on community involvement

Provide support to the operating budget

  • ensure essential equipment is available for student use
  • provide tuition assistance to deserving students
  • maintain our beautiful campus

The SJA Board of Directors developed Annual Giving Program Donor Societies in order to recognize the generosity of our many alumnae, parents, friends, parents of alumnae and grandparents who have helped make SJA a strong tradition in the Baton Rouge community. Through these donor societies, donors are recognized for their gifts to SJA's Annual Giving Program each fiscal year (July 1-June 30).

Note: Many companies offer an employee benefit of matching contributions to a non-profit organization. These company programs match a donation from you or your spouse and increase the impact of your gift. Please refer to the Matching Gift page to learn more about local companies that have matched with SJA in the past.
