| St. Joseph’s Academy is committed to providing
an environment of excellence for young women in the Baton Rouge
community. In an effort to maintain the fiscal operations of St.
Joseph’s Academy, the Board of Directors has provided the
following guidelines for tuition income:
St. Joseph’s Academy has two (2) tuition payment options.
Tuition can be paid either in advance or monthly through electronic
transfer. For those parents choosing to pay in advance, full payment
is due on or before June 5. If the monthly payment plan is chosen,
the tuition amount will be divided into eleven (11) monthly installments.
These installments will be debited from the designated account on
the 5th of each month beginning June 5 and ending May 5. No tuition will be drafted in February.
In keeping with the vision of the Academy, the president welcomes
parents throughout the school year to discuss in advance of delinquency
conditions that may prevent them from fulfilling their obligation
to pay tuition to St. Joseph’s Academy. The options are many
if the president’s office is contacted prior to, rather than
after, a written communication is issued from the school. Tuition
assistance and/or alternative payment plans will at all times be
considered. The president’s office is committed to assisting
in providing a plan that will work best for the particular situation.
Should a parent fail to make alternative arrangements, a student
may not take semester exams until all financial obligations to the
school have been fulfilled and/or remedied. Parent(s) of the student
may be notified that the student is to remain home on the examination
days. Delinquent payments made immediately prior to examinations
must be made in cash or by cashier’s check or money order
in order for them to be deemed received by St. Joseph’s Academy
and allowing the student to take any examinations not yet given.
If a student’s tuition account becomes 30 days past due, the
student is subject to suspension from classes and NetSJA privileges
and to revocation of laptop privileges, in which case the student
must immediately return the school laptop she is using.
If tuition payments are in arrears for 60 days, or if a pattern
of NSF drafts develops, St. Joseph’s Academy reserves the
right to suspend the account from the ACH program and require that
tuition be paid in full for the remainder of the academic year.
Student records, including but not limited to report cards, transcripts
and the graduation diploma, will not be released until all financial
obligations have been fulfilled.
Parent(s)/guardian(s) are liable for any collection costs, court
costs and legal fees incurred by the school to collect delinquent
accounts.
Students with an outstanding tuition balance may not re-register
for the following school year.
