Description:
The Executive Board of the Student Council is elected by the entire student body to represent them for a year. The class presidents and representatives are elected by their respective classmates. The council, which consists of nine members from each class, meets bimonthly. Members serve on committees such as Teacher Appreciation, Courtesy, Sports Awareness and Fun Days. The club is responsible for hosting several dances at SJA, as well as food drives and blood drives. All students are invited to attend meetings, where discussions of school improvement issues and policies are on the agenda. The Student Council members discuss any issues which involve students in order to make SJA a better place for all.
