Senior members of St. Joseph’s Academy’s winter and spring sports teams have been recognized for academic excellence and named to the 2018 LHSAA All-Academic All-State teams for their respective sports. The recognition is sponsored by ISC.
The program honors senior student-athletes who have achieved a three-year cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Student-athletes with an unweighted, six-semester 4.0 GPA are named to their sport’s Composite All-Academic All-State team.
Emily Johnson was named to the Class 5A All-Academic All-State Bowling Team.
Rebecca Hanly was named to the Class 5A All-Academic All-State Gymnastics Team.
Named to the Division I All-Academic All-State Soccer Team were Renee Cancienne, Annie Heitman, Meghan Johnson, Courtney Moggio and Caroline Walters.
Anna Shortess was named to the Composite All-Academic Tennis Team. Macy Heroman was named to the Division I All-Academic All-State Tennis Team.
Named to the Composite All-Academic Track and Field Team were Clare Barfield and Jane Jeha. Named to the Class 5A All-Academic All-State Track and Field Team were Kennedy Benjamin, Jennifer Bennett, Haley Blouin, Carley Dugas and Rebecca Schwartzenburg.
