School Masses

We love to celebrate the Eucharist with our alumnae. Mass begins at 9:45 a.m. in the Academy Student Center (accessible from Parker Street) on the dates listed below:

Legacy Mass & Reception

Our Alumnae Office will host the 11th annual Legacy Mass and Brunch on Sunday, August 20, 2023. We invite current students and their legacy mothers and grandmothers to attend. Email geraldm@sjabr.org by August 11, 2023, to RSVP. 

SJA/CHS Band, Bruinettes and Cheer Reunion

SJA alumnae who participated in the band, Bruinettes or CHS Cheer are invited back to perform during the CHS homecoming game. Save the dates for a night of practice on Thursday, September 28, and the big show on Friday, September 29! View details and RSVP here.

The Soirée

Our premier fundraising event, The Soirée brings together alumnae, parents and friends of SJA to enjoy live music, delicious food, drinks and live and silent auctions. The event benefits our entire SJA community by providing funds for campus-wide enhancements. This year's celebration, The Soirée: A Redsticker Thursday Night, will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Learn more at sjasoiree.org.

Career Day

Join us in preparing the next generation of Academy graduates for the workplace of tomorrow. On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, alumnae will gather on campus to share their career experiences or discuss their college experiences with the junior and senior classes. Decade LuncheonS

Come celebrate this wonderful time of year with your fellow Redstickers! We invite all SJA alumnae from the 1950s to a ladies' Christmas luncheon on campus on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. SJA alumnae from the 1960s to a ladies' Christmas luncheon on campus on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

Six-Month Reunion

Each year, members of the most recent graduating class are invited to return to campus in celebration of their six-month reunion. This opportunity to visit with classmates, faculty and staff is also chance to pick up your yearbooks and see recent changes to our campus. The six-month reunion for the class of 2023 will be held on Friday, December 15, 2022. Email geraldm@sjabr.org by December 11, 2023, to RSVP. 
 

SJA Tennis Classic

Alumnae, parents and friends of SJA are invited to participate in the annual SJA Tennis Classic, a weekend of tennis and fellowship at Bocage Racquet Club. This year's tournament is set for March 8-10, 2024.

Baton Rouge Alum Night Out

Alumnae in the Baton Rouge area are invited to join us for happy hour in the Fife Student Commons on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. We hope you join us to meet, mingle and network with fellow Baton Rouge-area alumnae and SJA faculty members, past and present. Athletic Hall of Fame 

The SJA Athletic Hall of Fame honors those who have made significant contributions to athletics at the Academy, in particular former student-athletes, coaches and volunteers. This year's induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024. For more on members of the Hall of Fame, we invite you to visit our Hall of Fame page. 

Honors Convocation

Our beautiful Honors Convocation ceremony inducts the graduating class into the sisterhood of the SJA Alumnae Association. Honors Convocation for the class of 2024 will take place on Friday, May 17, 2024. We invite their Big Sisters, members of the class of 2021, to join as volunteers and be the first to congratulate our newest alumnae.

Alumnae Trip

Are you interested in taking a trip of a lifetime with fellow SJA alumnae? Summer 2023 took us to Italy, and we are now planning our next big adventure. If you are interested in traveling near or far with us, please contact geraldm@sjabr.org.

Grand Reunion

Our favorite weekend of the year invites all of our milestone classes to join us on campus for Family Day! Alumnae celebrating their 5-, 10-, 20-, 25-, 30-, 40- and 50-year reunions can tour our campus and gather with classmates for fun and fellowship on Saturday, July 22. Your class representative will provide details on each class’ individual reunion plans.
