How to Give

SJA depends on the support of a community of parents, alumnae and friends to bridge the difference between tuition and the actual cost of an SJA education. One hundred percent of SJA’s administration, faculty and staff make their own charitable contribution to the Annual Fund to support the Academy’s mission. Make your gift to the SJA Annual Fund here.

The endowed scholarship program is at the heart of one of SJA’s most treasured traditions: the ability to offer need-based tuition assistance to deserving students and their families. Scholarships may be established to memorialize or honor individuals, groups or families. You may make a donation of any amount at any time to an existing scholarship here.

Endowed funds are established to address curriculum and facility needs. Often, they are created to memorialize or honor individuals, groups or families. A gift in memory or honor of someone you love or admire can be a particularly meaningful way to contribute to SJA. Any gift made to SJA can be made as a memorial or honorary gift. Simply select the type of contribution you would like to make, and complete the form indicating the honoree. Make your mark on SJA’s campus by purchasing a brick for a student, an alumna, a faculty member or in honor or memory of someone. The engraved brick pavers will be outside of the Sister Agatha Dining Hall.

Your personalized brick paver will be engraved with your selected wording indicated on the order form, leaving a lasting impression on the Academy for generations to come. Your gift will benefit the future of St. Joseph’s Academy by helping build the endowment, providing students with need-based tuition assistance, state-of-the-art facilities and much more.

Individuals making their gift in the form of appreciated securities or stock may avoid capital gains and may receive other tax savings. Proceeds from the sale of these assets may be directed to any fund or program you wish. Non-cash gifts of property such as computers, books, scientific equipment, arts materials and other items are important contributions. The fair market value of such items is deductible for income tax purposes. A formal appraisal is required by the IRS for gifts in kind valued over $5,000.
