The softball team hosted the first-ever Organ Donation Awareness game on March 14 against St. Michael. The game was played in honor of Coach Billy Stears, who recently underwent a heart transplant, and raised $1,200 for the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency.

Caroline Sagrera threw the 1,000th strikeout of her high school career on March 17. She was the first 1,000-strikeout pitcher in SJA history. She ended her career with 1,214 strikeouts. Sagrera signed scholarship papers to play softball at Spring Hill College next year. Sagrera was named to the Louisiana Softball Coaches Association’s All-Star team.
