Of Note
Nan Murtagh retired after 25 years of coaching the SJA swim team. Career highlights include five state championships and 14 city meet titles. Under her leadership, SJA’s swim teams won state championships in 1994, 1996, 2002, 2003 and 2005. SJA swimmers finished second in the state in 1988, 1990, 1992, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2006 and 2008. Five times in 25 years, Murtagh’s swimmers recorded seasons with no losses.
