The SJA Board of Directors hosted a special gathering on August 31 to celebrate the many successes of 2025-2026 and to honor Donor Society members, families establishing scholarships and those who served in leadership capacities last year. We also honored this year's Outstanding Alumnae, Kim Wong Kwan '79 and Ráchel Roché '89, and Spirit of SJA honoree John Richardson. 

The fourth-annual SJA Pickleball Tournament was a rousing success, meeting participation goals and breaking its fundraising record.

We gathered as a school community this morning for the first mass of the new year. 

The new school year has begun! What better way to start 2026-2027 than with an opening-day prayer service, filled with music, prayer and warm welcomes.

We are so excited to announce that a new cheer team, the Gameday Cheer Squad, has been established at SJA! 

The start of the 2026 cross country season is just around the corner, and the team continued its preparation with the annual summer camp. This year's retreat was held July 19-23 in Chatawa, Mississippi. 

A group of nine SJA students traveled to Camden, New Jersey, to participate in the Urban Challenge.

A group of St. Joseph's Academy students joined with Catholic High School students for a mission trip to Klagetoh, Arizona. 

A group of students traveled to the Windy City for the Alive in You mission trip June 9-14. 

A dozen SJA students traveled to Belize in early June to help build a home through Hand in Hand Ministries.

We are delighted to share that Stephanie Spielman Cargile, class of 1988, has been named the new president of St. Joseph's Academy. 

Students from St. Joseph's Academy and Catholic High School spent a week in Estes Park, Colorado, experiencing the Catholic Leadership Encounter workshop. 

The SJA class of 2026 graduated on May 19 during commencement exercises at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center at LSU. 

Congratulations to the members of the SJA class of 2026 for their many accomplishments over the last four years. We honored the soon-to-be-graduates at Honors Convocation on the evening of May 15.
