A group of St. Joseph’s Academy students worked with Father Michael Alello of St. Thomas More Catholic Church to serve the Baton Rouge community through the Blessings Mission Trip. 

Students Help Houston Hurricane Victims

Several St. Joseph’s Academy students spent a week in Houston, helping restore homes impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The work was undertaken as part of the SHINE Catholic Work Camp.

Students Work with Young Campers in Puerto Rico

A group of St. Joseph’s Academy students and recent graduates traveled to Puerto Rico to help run a summer camp at Colegio María Auxiliadora. There, they staffed activity rooms for the young campers at the elementary school and worked to enhance the school’s computer lab.

SJA, CHS Students Travel in Service to Arizona

St. Joseph’s Academy students, along with a group from Catholic High School, spent a week at the St. Anne’s Mission in Klagetoh, Arizona, working with the Navajo children. 

SJA Students Serve Others in Louisville

A group of St. Joseph’s Academy students joined forces with students from St. Joseph Academy in Cleveland to serve marginalized members of the Louisville, Kentucky, community.

Students Join SJA-Cleveland on NOLA Mission Trip

Students from St. Joseph’s Academy and sister school St. Joseph Academy in Cleveland spent June 3-8 in New Orleans, serving the less fortunate at three different venues. In their spare time, the Academy students enjoyed introducing their Cleveland counterparts to the culture and cuisine of the Big Easy.

SJA Team Finishes First at AICS Camp

SJA finished first in the Analysis & Investigation through Cyber-based Scenarios Camp, held June 3-8 at Louisiana Tech University. 

Students Serve Costa Rica Mission Project Camp

A group of St. Joseph’s Academy students spent a week in Costa Rica, working with children at a daycare center and helping make repairs to a church. They also enjoyed being immersed in the local culture. 

Students Enjoy Mission Trip to Desert Southwest

St. Joseph’s Academy students traveled to Klagetoh, Arizona, during the first week of June. They tackled a variety of chores to serve the Navajo people on Saint Anne’s Mission.

Students Attend CSJ Leadership Conference

A group of six St. Joseph’s Academy students participated in the annual CSJ/SSJ Student Leadership Conference. Hosted by Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park, Illinois, this year’s conference helped students gain a deeper understanding of the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
