Alumnae Association Hosts Pickleball Tournament
The fourth-annual St. Joseph’s Academy Pickleball Tournament, hosted by the SJA Alumnae Association on August 15, enjoyed great success. A large field of 91 teams enjoyed a day of competition, food, fellowship and fun in the LSU Indoor Tennis Complex.
The tournament, presented by Woman’s Hospital, was open to women’s, men’s and mixed doubles teams. Proceeds will go towards campuswide enhancements.
SJA Alumnae Director Alli Bourgeois ’14 said moving to the LSU Indoor Tennis Complex allowed the Alumnae Association to bring together more players, spectators and supporters for a day of fun and friendly competition. “We were thrilled to meet our participation goal and, even more exciting, break our fundraising record,” Bourgeois said. “This event would not be possible without our generous sponsors, enthusiastic players, dedicated volunteers and everyone who came out to support SJA. We are so grateful for the continued growth of this tournament and are already looking forward to next year.”
