Black Box Company Hosts Awards Ceremony

The St. Joseph’s Academy/Catholic High School Black Box Company celebrated the 2022-2023 performance season with a banquet on April 29 in the Black Box Theater. Drama club members voted on the awards, which were handed out by the 2022-2023 board members Izzy Gruner, Anna Kathryn Nodier, Vivian Toups, Maria Hargrave, Charley Fernandez, Steven Cheatham and Bailey Cook.

The following awards were presented to SJA club members.

Best Female Lead in a Play: Ella Boone (Ms. White in Clue, White Cast)
Best Ensemble Member in a Play: Natalie Feduccia (The Cop in Clue, White Cast)
Best Female Lead in a Play: Isabella Walton (Wadsworth in Clue, Red Cast)
Best Ensemble Member in a Play: Janie Elliot (The Motorist in Clue, Red Cast)
Best Musical Solo Performance: Soo Park (Once Upon a December, Talent Night)
Talent Night Best Monologue: Jeny Russo (Streetcar Named Desire)
Talent Night Best Duet Acting Scene: Ellen Adcox and Darrell Celestine (Dracula of Pennsylvania)
Best Female Lead in a Musical: Molly Kate Skupien/Soo Park (Kira in Xanadu)
Best Ensemble Member in a Musical: Maria Hargrave (Xanadu)
Outstanding Stage Management: Morgan Massey (Xanadu)
Outstanding Assistant Stage Management: Vivian Toups
Outstanding Booth Crew: CC Moreau (Clue)
Outstanding Backstage Crew: Brie Journée (Xanadu)
Scene Stealer Award: Natalie Feduccia (The Cop in Clue)
Chameleon Award: Kaylin Vessel
Spotlight Award: CC Moreau
Most Dedicated Black Box Company Member: Maria Hargrave
Rising Star Award: Molly Kate Skupien
Myles Smith Award: Soo Park
