Bowling Team Enjoys Post-Season Awards Celebration
The St. Joseph’s Academy bowling team gathered at All-Star Lanes on April 27 to celebrate the 2026 season and enjoy the annual student-faculty/staff bowling competition.
The Redstickers made their first state semifinal appearance in 18 years, and senior Ava Doucet brought home the first singles tournament gold medal in SJA history.
Coach Garth Ridge awarded participation certificates and varsity letters. Senior Molly Milligan finished her SJA career with her fourth varsity letter, and 12 additional team members earned letters this year.
Milligan and Doucet were honored for being selected to the All-District First Team, and Charlotte Wood was recognized as a second-team designee. Doucet was also named District MVP.
Ridge also announced several special awards.
Newcomer of the Year: Adlee Ourso
Coaches Award: Jay Queen and Charlotte Wood
Most Valuable Bowler: Ava Doucet
Faculty and staff members invited by team members to participate in the friendly competition were Tiffany Trascher, Jade Spears, Priscilla Talbot, Erin Hidalgo, Carrie Wood, Jody Tullier, John Richardson, Tim LaBauve, Laura Bordelon and Stephen Barrios.
