College Board Recognizes Students

Four St. Joseph’s Academy students have been selected as College Board National Recognition Program awardees. Seniors Rocio Larenas Bustos and Berlin Gomez were recognized with the National Hispanic Recognition Award. Senior Moria Gauthier and junior Bella Bridgewater were recognized with the National African American Recognition Award. 

The College Board’s National Recognition Program was created to recognize the academic achievement of Hispanic, African-American and Indigenous students as well as students attending rural schools. Students receiving this recognition are among the top 10 percent of scorers on the PSAT standardized test and also meet College Board’s GPA requirement.

Larenas Bustos is the daughter of Fabiola Bustos Barra and Francisco Larenas Ricke; she attended St. George. Gomez is the daughter of Elizeh and Josh Gomez; she attended St. George. Gauthier is the daughter of Kalyn and Michael Gauthier; she attended Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet. Bridgewater is the daughter of Anika Bell and Dominick Bridgewater; she attended Our Lady of Mercy.
