Gymnastics Team Finishes Second

The St. Joseph’s Academy gymnastics team finished second in its second meet of the 2024 season. The Baton Rouge High Invitational was held March 16. 

The Redstickers scored 231.20000 to finish just behind Dutchtown at 232.10000. There were five teams in the field. 

Finishing in the top three were the following. 

Sophia Marionneaux finished second in Level 3: vault, 6th place, 9.750; bars, 2nd place, 9.700; beam, 4th place, 9.450; floor, 3rd place, 9.700; all-around, 2nd place, 38.600

In Level 8, Aleigh St. Roman finished first, and Isabelle McDermott finished third. 
Aleigh St. Roman: vault, 3rd place, 9.400; bars, 2nd place, 9.350; beam, 1st place, 9.600; floor, 4th place (tie), 9.450; all-around, 1st place, 37.800
Isabelle McDermott: vault, 9th place, 8.750; bars, 4th place, 9.200; beam, 5th place, 9.050; floor, 1st place, 9.650; all-around, 3rd place, 36.650

Next up is the LHSAA State Meet on April 13 at Baton Rouge High.
