Gymnasts Finish Second in Meet
The St. Joseph’s Academy gymnastics team competed in the second regular season meet of the 2023 season, finishing second overall. The meet was held March 11 at Baton Rouge High School.
Seven teams and 122 gymnasts competed. SJA’s level 3 gymnasts placed second, and levels 4 and 8 both placed third. The following placed on the podium for event or all-around finishes.
Level 3
Hannah Crochet: 3rd on floor; 4th on vault; 5th on beam; 4th all-around
Sarah Atkinson: 4th on bars; 5th all-around
Level 4
Anna Grace Kurtz: 3rd on floor; 5th on beam; 3rd all-around
Janie Young: 3rd on beam; 5th all-around
Juliette Schmitt: 1st on floor; 2nd on bars
Level 8
Estelle LeBeouf: 2nd on bars; 3rd on floor; 3rd all-around
Isabelle McDermott: 1st on beam; 1st on vault; 3rd on floor; 2nd all-around
Next up is the third and final regular season meet of the year, set for April 1 at Baton Rouge High School beginning at 8:30 a.m.
