Indoor Track Season Begins with LSU Classic
The St. Joseph’s Academy track and field team opened the 2020 indoor season on January 5 at the LSU High School Classic in the Carl Maddox Field House.
Finishing in the top 20 in their respective events were the following:
4x200m Relay: Olivia Cook, McKenna Ramsey, Sydney LaFleur and Hannah Jones, 8th place, 1:49.58
1,600m Run: Maddie Kate Gardiner, 5th place, 5:30.83; Sophie Martin, 6th place, 5:35.24
800m Run: Lydia Poche, 6th place, 2:31.84; Elise Jones, 8th place, 2:32.07
4x800m Relay: Virginia Dirks, Elizabeth Gordon, Anna Camille Eagleton, Isabelle Brown, 2nd place, 10:18.50
3,200m Run: Isabelle Brown, 2nd place: 12:30.57; Virginia Dirks, 3rd place, 12:30.89
4x400m Relay: Alessandra Purnell, Olivia Cook, Julia Crawford and Hannah Jones, 9th place 4:19.88
Pole Vault: Taylor Walker, 9th place, 9-09.75; Corinne Carnaggio, 18th place, 6-11.00
High Jump: Reese Favaloro, 11th place, 4-07.00
Triple Jump: Mary Usher, 14th place, 31-05.75
Triple Jump: Lucy Oatley, 17th place, 31-00.50
