National Merit Recognizes Seniors
St. Joseph’s Academy senior Anna Guidroz has been recognized as a semifinalist in the 69th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Seniors Abigail Martin and Annabelle Sheets have been named commended students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Semifinalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,140 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million to be offered next spring. Approximately 95 percent of semifinalists are expected to attain finalist standing, and approximately half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title.
Guidroz is the daughter of Jennifer and Andrew Guidroz; she attended St. George. Martin is the daughter of Ellen and Nate Robinson and Chris and Caroline Martin; she attended Most Blessed Sacrament. Sheets is the daughter of Angela and Harold Sheets; she attended St. Aloysius.
