Senior Named Semifinalist in Scholars Program

St. Joseph’s Academy senior Faith Woods has been selected as a semifinalist in the 2020 Coca-Cola Scholars Program and will advance in the competition for a $20,000 scholarship award.

Woods was chosen from among more than 93,000 applicants based on criteria including outstanding leadership, academics and dedication to community. Nearly 2,000 applications are advancing to the phase two application process as semifinalists.

After review of semifinalist applications, 250 regional finalists will be chosen to continue through the selection process. Announced in late January, regional finalists will participate in interviews resulting in the selection of 150 Coca-Cola Scholars.

Coca-Cola Scholars will attend the Scholars Weekend in Atlanta in April, where they will receive the $20,000 Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship.

“I am so excited to be named a semifinalist and to continue the application process to become a Coca-Cola Scholar,” Woods said. “I am thrilled to represent SJA and my community as a potential scholar.”
