SJA Elects 2025-2026 Executive Board
The St. Joseph’s Academy student body elected the members of its 2025-2026 Student Council executive board in campus-wide elections on April 16. There was a runoff on April 17 for the offices of vice president and communications coordinator.
Junior Jenna Braud has been elected to the office of student body president. Junior Adeline Bonner is the new vice president. Sophomore Harper Brown-Rachleff ran unopposed for the position of secretary/treasurer, sophomore Molly Roussel is the new historian and freshman Addison Pham has been elected communications coordinator.
Braud has been involved in Student Council for two years as a class representative. She sought the office of president because she is passionate about being involved and wanted to be a voice for her fellow students. “I love everything about Student Council, from the school spirit to organizing everything around school,” she said. “I’m so excited to make some amazing things happen next year. I’m looking forward to meeting the new class representatives and forming close bonds with all these girls.”
Bonner has been a member of Student Council for the past three years. She served as secretary/treasurer for the 2024-2025 school year. “Through these roles, I developed my leadership skills and worked closely with my classmates and administration to strengthen our school community,” she said. “I have loved every moment of helping lead SJA to grow our school in its charism and spirit. I ran for the position of vice president to continue building on the leadership I’ve been passionate about throughout high school. I love SJA, and running for this office was a way for me to show my commitment to responsibility, strong communication and being a leader who listens and acts on what students need and hope for.”
Brown-Rachleff has been involved in student government since the 6th grade, serving as president in 8th grade. At SJA, she served as freshman class president and was a sophomore class representative. “I ran for the office of secretary/treasurer because I want to do the most I can to contribute to the school that has given me so much,” she said. “I am so immensely grateful for all the opportunities SJA has given me, and I want to make this school as special for everyone else as it is for me. I want everyone to be able to embrace all it has to offer with a positive attitude because these four years will go by so quickly, and you do not want to miss a thing. I know that together we can accomplish great things this year, and I can’t wait to see what it has in store.”
Roussel was active in student government in middle school. This year, she served as freshman class president “and instantly fell in love with SJA Student Council,” she said. “I ran for historian because I love digital media, and I want to preserve the memories we make next school year. My favorite way to express my creativity is through online platforms and photography, and I am excited to channel this passion into the Student Council Instagram. Moreover, I want to capture the joy of being a Redsticker. I look forward to working with all of the talented girls who are also on the executive board. I also cannot wait to learn from all the talented leaders who serve on SJA Student Council.”
Pham served as a freshman class representative this year. She ran for the office of communications coordinator because she wants to encourage more involvement from the student body. “I also want to have a more active role in this amazing school and with this group of girls,” she said. “I am looking forward to all of the new and exciting things to come, especially Challenge Day, meetings and Student Council retreat. This is going to be a great year. I can’t wait.”
