Members of the St. Joseph’s Academy soccer team were honored during a special recognition party on April 3 at the home of Sarah and Shane Morrison, parents of Grace, a senior.
Coach Stephanie Broussard, who was named District and Metro coach of the year, outlined the season, in which the Redstickers captured their sixth consecutive District 5 championship and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Division I state playoffs. Along with assistant coaches Kyle Carmouche and Alex Delgado, Broussard handed out certificates of participation and varsity letters, including four-year letter awards to Gabby Barreneche and Rhys Lopiparo.
A number of special awards were handed out, as well.

Senior Corrine Hutchinson was recognized as a member of the All-Academic Composite Team.
Members of the All-District First Team were recognized: Maddie Ieyoub (Overall MVP), Madison Corey (Defensive MVP), Emma Allen, Madeleine Davis, Rhys Lopiparo, Mary Melancon and Riley White. Second-Team honorees recognized were Taylor Blouin, Olivia Hupperich and Corrine Hutchinson.
All-Metro First Team honorees recognized were Maddie Ieyoub (Overall MVP), Madison Corey,
Mary Melancon and Riley White.
Maddie Ieyoub was recognized as a member of the All-State First Team; Madison Corey was honored for being named to the All-State Second Team. Ieyoub was also recognized for being named to the LHSCA/LHSSCA All Star East Team.
