The St. Joseph’s Academy soccer team defeated Zachary High on January 15 to capture the district championship for the fifth consecutive year. Coach Kyle Carmouche said these seniors have a special place in his heart. Six of them were the among the first players he coached after joining the program four years ago as coach of the JV squad. Another two joined the program as transfers. “It has been a pleasure to be a small part of their soccer journey,” Carmouche said. “This senior class has been a true representation of the values of SJA and the Sisters of St. Joseph. I give much of the credit for our success this year to this graduating class.
