Swim Team Celebrates 2025 Season

The St. Joseph’s Academy swim team celebrated the successes of the 2025 season with a special awards ceremony on January 13 in the Fife Student Commons. 
 
Coaches Jimmy Roberts and Nan Murtagh presented participation certificates, varsity letters and special awards. Coach Roberts recapped the season, in which the team captured the LHSAA Division I state championship, its 14th state title in the last 15 years and 19th in program history. The team also won its 24th consecutive Capital City Swim League Championship and 31st in program history.

Earning their fourth varsity letters were seniors Sydney Kline, Audrey Lemoine, Ava Schoen and Isabella Vargas. 

Six seniors were honored for being named to the Capital City Swim League All-Academic Team and the LHSAA All-State All-Academic Divisional Team. They were Caroline Babin, Skylar Bordelon, Sophie Farah, Sydney Kline, Juliana Robillard and Isabella Vargas. 

Recognized as members of the NISCA All-American All-Academic Team were Caroline Babin, Skylar Bordelon, Sophie Farah, Juliana Robillard and Isabella Vargas.
 
Honored for being named to the All-Metro Team for 2025 were Audrey Lemoine, Molly Mayo, Mary Claire Roberts and Riley Roedel. All-State Team members recognized were Molly Mayo and Riley Roedel. 

Sydney Kline and Juliana Robillard were honored for serving as captains for the 2025 season.

Freshman Outstanding Angel: Molly Watson
Sophomore Outstanding Angel: Riley Roedel
Junior Outstanding Angel: Molly Mayo
Senior Outstanding Angel: Audrey Lemoine
Most Improved: Cate Clapinski
Angel Spirit Award: Juliana Robillard
Angel Achievement Awards: Isabella Vargas, Caroline Babin
