Swim Team Wins 24th Consecutive CCSL Title

The St. Joseph’s Academy swim team scored 563 points on the way to its 24th consecutive Capital City Swim League Championship. The win marked SJA’s 31st city championship in program history.

Winning two individual events and two of three relays, the Redstickers outdistanced the 18-team field. The meet was held October 21 and November 1 at Crawfish Aquatics.

All 18 SJA swimmers scored points in individual events to contribute to the team total; 17 swimmers placed in the top eight in individual events.

“SJA swimming performed very well over the two-day meet, recording nearly 100 percent season-best times and with swimmers recording 20 lifetime-best times,” said head coach Jimmy Roberts. “SJA swimmers kept the meet lively and loud cheering for every relay and individual swim. I am so proud of our total team effort in the pool and out of the pool. We had so many smiles, having fun and posting great swim performances.”
