Tennis Players Celebrate Season with Awards Party
The six-time state champion St. Joseph’s Academy tennis team celebrated the 2026 season with an awards party on May 13 at the home of junior Harper Brown-Rachleff.
Coach Jonathan Howard and faculty moderator Cindy Downs awarded participation certificates and varsity letters, including a four-year letter to senior Lucy Jimenez.
Special awards were given as follows.
Most Valuable Player: Ryland Stafford
Noonan Coaches Award: Camille Gardiner
Shield Award (best teammate): Kate McCann
Most Improved: Aubrey Geier
Pousson/Guglielmo Parent Award: Ed Jimenez
Singles Match of the Year: Aubrey Geier versus Barbe
Doubles Match of the Year: Lily Guillot/Sophie Bourgeois vs. Byrd
Sticker Standard for Best Performance of the Year: Ryland Stafford/Harper Brown-Rachleff
Senior Career Award: Lucy Jimenez
Ambassador Award: Catherine Wilson
Recognized were team members selected to the All-Metro First Team: singles players Aubrey Geier and Louise Laville and doubles players Harper Brown-Rachleff/Ryland Stafford; Lily Guillot/Sophie Bourgeois; and Kate McCann/Lucy Jimenez.
Also recognized were regional and state tournament champions and runners up:
