Tennis Team Honored at Awards Party

The back-to-back state champion St. Joseph’s Academy tennis team celebrated the 2022 season with a May 18 awards party at Mestizo restaurant.

Coaches Jason and Tammy Noonan awarded participation certificates and varsity letters, including four-year letters to seniors Lilly Cambias and Anne Scott Guglielmo.

Caroline Holliday was named the winner of the Coaches’ Award, and Shobe Manuel was named the Most Valuable Player. 

Recognized for being named to the All-Metro Tennis Team were Anne Scott Guglielmo (MVP), Shobe Manuel, Caroline Pousson, Lilly Cambias and Caroline Hardy.

Also recognized were the following:

Division I-Region II singles champion: Ella Mancuso
Division I-Region II singles runner-up: Caroline Holliday
Division I-Region II doubles champions: Anne Scott Guglielmo and Shobe Manuel
Division I-Region II doubles runners-up: Lilly Cambias and Caroline Pousson
Division I-Class 5A state doubles champions: Anne Scott Guglielmo and Shobe Manuel
Division I-Class 5A state singles runner-up: Ella Mancuso
