Track & Field Competes in McNeese No. 2
The St. Joseph’s Academy track and field team competed in the McNeese Indoor No. 2 meet on February 1. The meet was held in the McNeese Recreation Center in Lake Charles.
Senior Alexandria Stewart broke a meet record in the 400 meters, clocking a personal-record time of 56.59.
Other top marks follow.
400 meters: Jaelyn Jones, 14th place, 1:01.20
800 meters: Ainsley Brignac, 6th place, 2:29.29; Charlotte Beck, 13th place, 2:32.10
4x200 meter relay: Paige Ullrich, Alexandria Stewart, Jaelyn Jones and Audrey Manda, 4th place, 1:44.49
4x400 meter relay: Audrey Manda, Paige Ullrich, Ava Harrison and Claire Bodin, 9th place, 4:23.19
4x800 meter relay: Tiana Khuri, Hope Lemoine, Charlotte Beck and Emmaline Ritter, 3rd place, 10:19.19
High jump: Wesly Lipari, 7th place, 4-08.00; Paige Ullrich, 7th place, 4-08.00
Long jump: Jaelyn Jones, 2nd place, 16-10.50
Triple jump: Layla Jenkins, 14th place, 31-01.50
Next up is the LSU Last Chance Meet on February 8 at LSU. The 2025 LHSAA Indoor Track and Field Championship is set for February 22 at LSU.
