The St. Joseph’s Academy track and field team competed in its second meet of the 2023 indoor season at the McNeese High School Meet #1 on January 14. The unscored meet was held in the McNeese State Recreation Complex.
Finishing in the top 20 in their respective events were the following:
400 meters: Kennedy Papillion, 17th place, 1:05.61 (#10 on top 10 all-time SJA performances)
800 meters: Michelle Daigle, 1st place, 2:28.03 (personal best; #10 on top 10 all-time SJA performances); Tianna Khuri, 11th place, 2:42.85
1,600 meters: Elise Brown, 1st place, 5:18.39 (personal best; #3 on top 10 all-time SJA performances); Kaitlyn Francise, 9th place, 5:50.77 (personal best); Grace Martin, 13th place, 6:05.93 (personal best)
3,200 meters: Hannah Vaughan, 1st place, 11:36.23 (personal best; #5 on top 10 all-time SJA performances); Grace Rennhoff, 2nd place, 11:41.43
High jump: Gabrielle Graff, 6th place, 4-6.00
Long jump: Simone Castelluccio, 3rd place, 16-4.00 (season best)
Shot put: Catherine Burkhalter, 3rd place, 31-5.00 (personal best; #4 on top 10 all-time SJA performances)
Triple jump: Simone Castelluccio, 1st place, 36-3.00 (season best)
4x200 meter relay: Maci Kent, Simone Castelluccio, Alexandria Stewart and Jaelyn Jones, 6th place, 1:50.57
4x400 meter relay: Alexandria Stewart, Simone Castelluccio, Jaelyn Jones and Inessa Robillard, 1st place, 4:11.84 (season best; #6 on top 10 all-time SJA performances)
4x800 meter relay: Michelle Daigle, Elise Brown, Madison Mannino and Hannah Vaughan, 1st place, 9:58.07 (new meet record; #2 on top 10 all-time SJA performances)
