The St. Joseph’s Academy track and field team finished fourth in the Brothers of the Sacred Heart/Pete Boudreaux Invitational on March 9. The meet was held at Catholic High School. 

The Redstickers scored 91.5 points to finish behind Brusly (115.5), Episcopal (107) and Mt. Carmel Academy (95). There were 11 teams in the field. 

Top 10 finishers in each event are as follows. 

100 meters: Jaelyn Jones, 1st place, 12.75

100 meter hurdles: Amelia Lalonde, 2nd place, 17.06

200 meters: Jaelyn Jones, 2nd place, 25.73; Alexandria Stewart, 3rd place, 27.03

300 meter hurdles: Amelia Lalonde, 6th place, 52.04

400 meters: Alexandria Stewart, 2nd place, 59.78; Sophia Lalonde, 6th place, 1:05.34; Julia Bodin, 7th place, 1:06.17 (personal best)

800 meters: Ainsley Brignac, 3rd place, 2:28.21 (personal best); Melia Hooper, 7th place, 2:36.32 (personal best); Emmaline Ritter, 8th place, 2:36.44 (personal best); Kaiser Stentiford, 10th place, 2:43.82

1,600 meters: Tianna Khuri, 7th place, 5:48.29 (personal best); Hope Lemoine, 8th place, 5:48.49; Kaitlyn Francise, 9th place, 5:49.35

Next up is the Walker High Invitational on March 14 at Denham Springs High School.
