Track Team Competes in Indoor Qualifier
The St. Joseph’s Academy track and field team was among the participants in the LSU High School Indoor Qualifier Meet on January 22. The unscored competition was held in the Carl Maddox Field House.
Finishing in the top 20 in their respective events were the following:
4x200m Relay: Alexis Stewart, Dillon Landry, Ava Dunn and Simone Castelluccio, 7th place, 1:50.46 (season best time)
1,600m Run: Grace Rennhoff, 5th place, 5:29.35 (Indoor personal record); Emma Claire Hendry, 9th place, 5:32.18 (Indoor personal record);
800m Run: Elise Jones, 4th place, 2:26.30 (Indoor personal record); Amelia Cochran, 7th place, 2:29.22 (Indoor personal record)
400m Dash: Alex Stewart, 14th place, 1:04.44 (Indoor personal record)
4x800m Relay: Elise Jones, Emma Claire Hendry, Grace Rennhoff and Amelia Cochran, 1st place, 10:14.60
3200m Run: Hannah Vaughn, 4th place, 11:55.08 (Indoor personal record); Maddie Kate Gardiner, 5th place, 11:56.86
4x400m Relay: Ava Dunn, Kate Gonsoulin, Inessa Robillard and Simone Castelluccio, 6th place, 4:18.89 (season best time)
Pole Vault: Rachel Kerr, 6th place, 10’ 8”
Long Jump: Ava Riche, 3rd place, 17’ 7.5” (Indoor personal record), Simone Castelluccio, 10th place, 16’ 3.75”
Triple Jump: Simone Castelluccio, 3rd place, 36’ 1.25” (Indoor personal record; new Indoor school record); Ava Riche, 4th place, 35’ 5”
Shot Put: Lyndsey Darensbourg, 5th place, 37’ 11.50” (Indoor personal record)
