The St. Joseph’s Academy track and field team opened defense of its 2019 state championship with a resounding victory in the 2020 Tip-Off Invitational, held March 7 at Catholic High School. The Redstickers scored 317 points to finish ahead of Ruston (118), Denham Springs (56) and Episcopal High (36).

Scoring points towards the team total were the following:

4x800m Relay: Isabelle Brown, Virginia Dirks, Maddie Kate Gardiner and Sophie Martin, 1st place, 10:00.56

4x200m Relay: Simone Castellucio, Haley Jones, McKenna Ramsey and Hannah Jones, 2nd place, 1:43.40
